| Shanghai Multimedia Park is the first multimedia industry park in China and appointed as 'National Base of Digital and Media Technology Industrialization in Shanghai'. Being the important part of the development plan of Changning District named 'Digital Changning', Shanghai Multimedia Park Venture Capital (MPVC) was founded in 2003 for the purpose of giving more support for start-ups. MPVC focuses on the incubation in multimedia industry, the investment in hi-tech start-ups and the management of hi-tech industry zones and incubators. MPVC has also been affiliated as a member of Shanghai Hi-tech Incubators Network with the approval of Shanghai Technology Innovation Center.
MPVC has currently established five incubator bases in Shanghai Multimedia Park, Zhao Feng World Trade Building, Huamin Empire Plaza, Union Development Building of China and Hualian Venture Park. At present, there're more than 200 high-tech companies with the registered capital totaling to over two billion RMB settlin down in MPVC's incubator bases, including Alibaba (the largest B2B e-commerce community in the world), Focus Media (the largest digital out-door media operator in China), Allyes (the biggest Adnetwork technology and online marketing provider in China), Wealink.com (a leading SNS provider in China) and etc. Now, all the incubated companies can fulfill annual revenue and contribut tax repectively totaling to billions of RMB and 100 million RMB. MPVC has become a successful model in the high-tech incubation industry. |
