Sept.16, Beijing -- The Signing Ceremony of KTB/UCI China Ventures I Limited (KTB/UCI,hereinafter), was held in Peking University Resource Building. Meanwhile, a 'Memorandum of Understanding for the advisory role of Peking University Science Park in KTB/UCI China Ventures I Limited' was also signed by two parties.

KTB is the biggest Venture Capital in South Korea and it has rich experieces in this field. Being KTB's the significant step into China market, KTB/UCI is established for promoting high-tech investment and cooperation between two contries.

In May, 2001, Peking University Science Park (PKUSP, hereinafter)was formally awarded the title of National University Science Park by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Education. Supporting by the advantages of Peking University and Zhongguancun Science Park's resources, PKUSP is dedicated to technology research, hi-tech companies incubation and fostering high-level talents. Now it's developing for being one of the important parts of Peking University and a window of the international communication for education, culture and technology.

According the Memorandum of Understanding, KTB/UCI and PKUSP will have strategic partership. On PKUSP's side, it will provide KTB/UCI investment opportunities in promising Chinese start-ups by its abundant projects resources and all information about the industry policy, market trends and so on for KTB/UCI to make an informed investment decision. On KTB/UCI's side, it will provide all relevant information about the investment strategy and trend for PKUSP and also preferably make investments in PKUSP-designated Chinese start-ups that meet its investment criteria.
